WHY STUDY PIANO AT MUSIC ACADEMY OF UTAH?
Our piano instructors are warm and friendly. We get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with each individual or parent to craft a lesson plan that fits the student’s unique needs and favorite type of music. We want piano lessons to be a positive experience for students! We want students to enjoy coming to lessons, seeing their teacher each week and learning!
WHAT WILL I LEARN IN PIANO LESSONS?
Learning piano doesn't have to be hard! Our instructors are very warm, friendly and patient. We are ready to help you work on the most important aspects of becoming the piano player you've always wanted to be!
Our teachers understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor how we teach and what we teach to your individual needs.
Your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child. Together, you will develop a plan to achieve your goals! We love beginners, so even if you don't know where to begin, we can help!
Whether you're a five year old taking their first lesson, a fifty year old returning to the piano after many years, or anywhere in between, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ MUSIC?
No, beginners are welcome!
CAN I LEARN AS AN ADULT?
Yes, we love teaching adults! We even have a special recital just for our adult students to perform!
WILL I GET A CHANCE TO PERFORM?
Yes, we love performing! You will have two chances to perform each year at our recitals.
HOW LONG ARE LESSONS?
Group lessons are 1 hour long.
Private lessons are 1/2 hour long.
All students enrolled in private lessons can use the theory lab before or after their lesson.
WHAT IS THE THEORY LAB?
The theory lab is included with all private lessons, partner lessons and adult lessons
