GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS
In May of 2004, I saw my favorite band in Las Vegas when I was 13 years old. I had no idea that night would evidently send my life down a whole new path.
The next day, I dug my older sisters abandoned classical guitar out of the closet and became quickly obsessed. That Christmas I would receive both starter bass and electric guitar packs as I wanted to learn anything and everything I could get my hands on. I practiced throughout high school typically for 6 hours a day, dividing my time between any instrument I had at the time. I picked up many different instruments along the way but guitar was always home base.
After graduation, I stayed home and took care of my mother who had Alzheimer’s until she passed in 2012.
A few months after that, I got an offer to be a touring guitar tech. I quit my job and got on a plane to pursue a dream. I spent the next 8 years playing in and working for a few different touring bands all over the world. During the 2020 lockdown, I became a father. Since then I’ve been focused on my family and playing music without having to get in a tour bus for 7 weeks at a time.
Even on the worst days, music and my guitars were always there for me.
I look forward to meeting any and all students so that I can continue to spread the joy and passion for music that I found so long ago.
