Hi! I am Kyson Larsen!

 

I have been studying and playing piano and drums.

Under the instruction of Dr. Bohnenstengel at Southern Utah University, I studied various styles of music, including works from the baroque, classical, romantic, and modern eras. I have recently graduated from SUU with a Bachelor’s of Music in Piano.  I also took drum kit lessons under Dr. Blodgett. At SUU, I worked as a TA for Music Theory IV and as a sub for piano lessons at Cedar Music.

 

I have always had a passion for music and found myself loving anything jazz and swing. During my time at SUU, I played piano in several jazz combos that performed in recitals and professional venues. I joined so many because I could not say no to the opportunity to play with different musicians. I was also able to compose for various groups at SUU. I wrote mainly jazz (for big bands and combos), but I also composed and arranged for rock bands.
