Piano, Virtual Lessons
Christine took her very first piano lesson when she was 6 years old. At age 8, she began studying with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox, who helped spark her passion for piano.
Some of Christine’s notable awards include placing 2nd in the 2019 GCC International Best Chopin Competition and winning the 2020 Utah Philharmonic Orchestra’s (UPO) annual concerto competition, where she was then invited to perform with the UPO for their Salute to Youth concert. Christine also has placed 2nd in the 2020 UMTA Concerto Competition, won Honorable Mention in the 2015 Utah Symphony’s Salute to Youth, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in various other competitions such as the Encore Keyboard Competition, Salt Lake Piano Competition, and Weber State Piano Festival.
Besides competing, Christine also regularly tutors in subjects such as AP Music Theory, AP Biology, ACT math prep, etc. She is often requested as a piano accompanist, performing with a variety of musicians for their own recitals and competitions.
Christine was awarded the complete IB Diploma during her graduation from West High School in 2021, which includes two years of intensive study in IB Higher Level Music. She currently is a biochemistry major on the pre-med track at Smith College in Massachusetts.
