Hi, my name is Jill Whitley. After substitute teaching piano here at Music Academy. I’m so excited to take on the role of teacher. I love the atmosphere and people here! They are so uplifting and joyful.

Music is so wonderful.  I can’t imagine the world without music. That's why I want to teach people how to play the piano.  It's so amazing that we start out not knowing much about a song, and then we learn to play it with skill and joy!

One of my earliest memories of music was my dad playing God bless America! I loved hearing my dad play the piano while all of the family joined in singing. The piano was sold when I was very young, and even though we didn’t have a piano, I decided to start taking lesson when I was 13. I practiced on a paper keyboard and at the church.

Music gets you through the hard times and the joyous times!

I enjoy water skiing, camping, coloring, taking walks, playing board games with friends and family, and getting together with my husband, children, and grandchildren.

Substitute teaching at the elementary school for many years

Working With the special-needs children for 3 years
