Hi, I'm Derek, and I am super excited to get to meet you! Music has been a huge part of my life since I was 5 years old, when I started my very first piano lessons. In middle school I joined the band, and picked up the trombone, which I played all throughout my middle and high school career, and continue to play. I also play the guitar and banjo, both of which I picked up when I was in 8th grade.

      I am currently going to school for culinary arts at the Ogden-Weber Technical College. My goal is to open my own restaurant, and incorporate my love for music into it. I love cooking Italian food anything from simple spaghetti to tortellini or even gnocchi.  Other cuisines I enjoy cooking include, but aren't limited to, Chinese, Japanese, German, and Hawaiian.

     Outside of playing music and cooking I enjoy fishing, playing video games with my friends, and, of course, hanging out with my adorable cat Chloe. Other than Chloe we have multiple other animals including a bearded dragon, named Groot, and four energetic parakeets, named Poppy, Paco, Blu, and Charlie.
