My name is Sherry Christensen, and I am delighted to be teaching at the Music Academy of Utah.
I grew up in Ogden, Utah and at an early age I fell in love with music. I am classically trained
and started playing piano at 5 yrs old. I have performed recitals, solos, piano competitions, and
have accompanied numerous choirs and singers in many settings including universities, and
competitions, as well.

 

I majored in Piano Performance at Weber State University.
I also spent 8 years touring with the USO, performing with numerous bands and entertainers, for
our Military troops around the world.

I believe learning can be fun, interactive and motivating.

I love working with beginning and
intermediate students as they discover how to make music, and the delight of seeing them
become the best they can be.

In my spare time I like attending concerts, going to the movies, and the theater. I also love
anything outdoors, going to sporting events, and traveling.
