Dawn Giddings
STRINGS, BEGINNING PIANO & MORE
Dawn Giddings received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education from the SUNY Fredonia School of Music with a specialization in strings. She holds a Professional Educator License for the State of Utah with a Music (K-12) Endorsement.
Dawn has been playing the violin since she was 9 years old. As a child, she participated in orchestra, chorus, and musical theater. Later, she became interested in composing music and attended college to study Music Composition. However, after one year of studying, she felt she was missing something important in her career path - a chance to help others find their love of music. She changed her major to Music Education and the rest is history. She has taught students of all ages how to play the violin, viola, cello, and double bass for over a decade, both as a private teacher and as a public school orchestra director.
Outside of teaching, Dawn performs in her community, playing violin with local orchestras for various events. She loves playing in pit orchestras because it combines her two loves of orchestra and musical theatre. She also loves playing her ukulele and singing.
Dawn is patient, kind, and loves working with students of all ages. Her goal is to help people find joy and appreciation in their music making as they learn how to play their instrument. Music is for everyone!
